Mark Andy extends its press rebuild programme

  • Publicado el 14 de Noviembre de 2019

With the introduction of second-generation digital presses, Mark Andy recognised an opportunity to increase support to converters by expanding its certified rebuilt presses to include reconditioned Digital One and Digital Series machines.

As more Digital One and Digital Series customers upgrade to the next generation of digital hybrid presses, an inventory of used digital presses will continue to be generated, providing converters with a lower capital equipment budget the opportunity to find a machine that is affordable and suitable for their needs. The trade-in programme is a direct result of an increase in the demand for new technology, as well as increased enquiries for previously owned equipment from leading brands in growing economies.

As with Mark Andy’s existing pre-owned equipment programme, all digital presses will be reconditioned to OEM specifications at the company’s United States headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Each rebuilt machine is fully tested, run through stringent acceptance tests and prepared to the same standards as new equipment.

Speaking of its new partnership as an authorised Mark Andy digital press reseller, Scott Waldal, Chief Operations Officer at gb Flexo, commented: “We’ve partnered with Mark Andy for years on flexo and are excited to extend our business with them into digital as an authorised dealer of their first generation Digital Ones machines.”

Responding, Joe Calmese, Chief Business Officer at Mark Andy Digital, explained: “We are all about unlocking new market segments. Our digital programme is now at a level of maturity where our customers are not only seeing success, they are continuing their digital journey with us. That allows them to trade-in their existing Mark Andy digital equipment and enables new accounts to enter digital at a more accessible price point.”

Currently available for sale and immediate delivery is an inventory of Digital One and a 5-Colour UV inkjet Digital Series presses. Customers purchasing pre-owned digital equipment will receive access to consumables and the same service and support as new installs.
